Are you looking to begin or develop your career in accounts and finance? We have an exciting opportunity for an Trainee Accounts Assistant / Entry Level Accounts Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team in Loughborough.

This role is ideal for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and eager to gain valuable experience within a busy finance department. Whether you're starting your accounting career or already have some office or accounts experience, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Trainee Accounts Assistant / Entry Level Accounts Assistant, you'll provide administrative and financial support to the Accounts team, helping to ensure the smooth running of daily finance operations.

You'll gain exposure to a variety of accounting processes while working within a collaborative environment that offers opportunities for learning and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Processing purchase invoices and supplier payments.
  • Assisting with sales ledger and purchase ledger activities.
  • Reconciling accounts and investigating discrepancies.
  • Supporting daily banking and cash allocation tasks.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Assisting with month-end duties where required.
  • Handling finance-related queries from colleagues and suppliers.
  • General administrative support for the Accounts department.
About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Is well organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Has good numeracy and IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Is keen to learn and develop within a finance environment.
  • Is passionate about having a long lasting career within an Accounts function
