Learning Support Assistant – Stephenson College
Join Loughborough College Group to apply for the Learning Support Assistant – Stephenson College role.
The Learning Support team is seeking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide high‑quality support to learners with identified learning difficulties and/or disabilities. You will support learners across a range of courses from Entry level to Level 3 / A Level who have learning difficulties and disabilities, including Dyslexia, Autism, ADHD, Hearing Impairments, Visual Impairments and Physical Impairments.
You will provide in‑class support and online support to individuals and groups of learners, which includes note taking, assisting with personal care and mobility support.
Requirements:
- At least 12 months of experience working with young people.
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
- At least a Level 2 qualification, GCSE grade 4 or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
Desired qualities:
- Flexible and can‑do approach, committed to teamwork.
- Positive attitude towards all learners.
- Excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with a variety of students and staff.
Additional information:
- Successful candidates will have the opportunity to undertake further training where identified.
- This role is term‑time only, working 36 weeks throughout the year.
