Role Overview
Lecturer in Animal Studies – deliver across the full range of the department's provision. Passion for innovation and embedding new technologies into the learning environment. Responsible for delivery and development of courses. Excellent knowledge of animal management, planning effective teaching and learning techniques. Set in an 850-acre countryside estate with hands‑on experience.
Responsibilities- Support learners through their programme and specific qualification aims.
- Write schemes of work, lesson plans, and review plans.
- Be flexible in the delivery of education and training.
- Ensure completion of portfolios, coursework and all other programme‑related student outputs within the scheduled scheme.
- Hold a minimum level 4 qualification or equivalent in a relevant area.
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve excellent results.
- Experience designing and delivering vocational / academic programmes to students and/or learners.
- Effective time‑management skills and ability to work to deadlines.
- Possess a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one.
- Previous experience and knowledge of dog grooming desirable (if applicable).
The role is based on an 850-acre countryside estate that houses a range of animal species, providing students with valuable hands‑on experience.
