This is an opportunity to join Geography and Environment at Loughborough University, part of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities. Applications are invited for the position of University Teacher in Human Geography. This post has been made available due to a major externally funded award to a member of academic staff. We are seeking applications from outstanding candidates to deliver teaching on the Loughborough Geography and Environment suite of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes with a particular interest and expertise in Human Geography.

Specific expertise in political and social geography, as well as an ability to teach across a range of human geography themes would be advantageous. The candidate must have experience of teaching and will contribute to the development and delivery of undergraduate (BA, BSc) and postgraduate (MA, MSc) modules such as Unequal Worlds, Social Difference, Globalization and Geographical Research:
Design and Practice. Support of other areas of the curriculum will be required, and a willingness to engage in fieldwork and residential fieldcourses is expected. Candidates are expected to have a PhD in human geography or a closely related discipline and the clear potential to contribute to the University Strategy of Creating Better Futures.
