This is a full-time, on-site role for a Project Manager located in Shepshed. The Project Manager will lead and be the key point of contact both internally and externally on a range of projects which vary in complexity and size. This standalone role will work very closely with sales, production and engineering to ensure projects are completed for customers to specification, agreed budgets and deadlines.
Responsibilities include managing project resources, conducting inspections, addressing project delays, and maintaining communication with stakeholders. The role requires proactive problem-solving to ensure timely delivery and alignment with client specifications.
- Managing approvals and builds to ensure projects go through the engineering and manufacturing process in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Scheduling and coordinating key projects from conception to installation and commissioning.
- Managing multiple projects at different point in the engineering and manufacturing process at any one time.
- Creating and handling of all aspects of project documentation.
- Liaising with customers, suppliers and internal departments to drive projects forward & maintaining good working relationships.
- Strong project management or project scheduling experience within an engineering / manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Project.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Someone with proven ability to multi-task.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience of working within an electrical engineering environment or delivering projects that include elements of electrical engineering would be advantageous.
- 37.5 hour working week. Flexible start and finish time. Earlier finish on a Friday.
