You’ll be joining a close‑knit, highly skilled engineering team responsible for maintaining and optimising a large and complex estate – where no two days are the same, and your work directly impacts building performance, energy efficiency, and the day‑to‑day experience of thousands of students and staff.

The Role- Own planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fault finding across campus BMS systems
- Diagnose and repair faults across HVAC, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems
- Work hands‑on with TREND and Niagara 4 systems to monitor and optimise performance
- Respond to live alarms and system data, prioritising critical issues in real time
- Support and supervise external contractors when required
- Maintain accurate system data, backups, and asset information
- Electrically biased engineer or technician with experience in Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and building services controls
- Experience with TREND, Niagara 4 or similar BMS platforms
- Confident fault‑finder using schematics, data and logical diagnosis
- Comfortable working in live, occupied environments
- Basic understanding of networking (Ethernet/IP advantageous)
- Strong communicator who can work with both engineers and non‑technical stakeholders
- A genuine interest in developing into more advanced controls / systems engineering
- Qualified in Electrical / Building Services (HNC / City & Guilds or equivalent desirable)
