Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About The Role What's the role?

To deliver expert technical knowledge on electrical designs. Oversee team activities, be a business point of contact, represent the team and stand in for the Electrical Design Manager when required.

To be part of a team of engineers to improve the electrical design for power transformers by applying leading edge engineering methods and solutions.

• Produce Electrical Design of Transformers and Reactors up to 132kV Transformers as per Scope of Work.
• Produce Bills of materials and upload on PDM system.
• Check colleague designs and manufacturing documents/specifications to comply with customer requirements.
• Check and approve supplier offers and drawings.
• Actively work on continuous improvement of Transformer design and optimisation.
• Work cross functionally to develop best practice for Transformers designs.

• An accredited Bachelors or honours degree in electrical engineering.
• Ability to perform manual calculations and use design software to produce the necessary transformer and reactor design.
• FEMM, Electro magnetics.
• Electrical Design of Power Transformer and Reactor for 132kV and 120
  
  MVA.
