Position: Provisioning Engineer - DWDM/Ciena 6500
Location: Kegworth

Provisioning Engineer - DWDM / Ciena 6500 £ 300 per day | Inside IR35 | Hybrid - London We are looking for an experienced Provisioning Engineer with strong expertise in optical transmission, DWDM and Ciena 6500 technologies.

Key Responsibilities
* Design and document transmission and packet network solutions.
* Provision, configure and test network elements across optical and L2/L3 technologies.
* Support customer service activation, implementation and network upgrades.
* Manage network capacity, disconnects and capacity reallocation.
* Maintain accurate technical documentation and network records.
* Ensure designs and implementations meet technical and industry standards.
* Troubleshoot and resolve network and provisioning issues. Key Skills & Experience
* Extensive optical transmission / DWDM experience.
* Strong hands-on Ciena 6500 experience.
* Good knowledge of DWDM, ROADM, Flexgrid and photonic layer technologies.
* Understanding of L2/L3 operator networks, with BGP/MPLS knowledge advantageous.
* Experience with optical test equipment and performance monitoring.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
* Experience with Nokia, ADVA advantageous.
* Cisco, Juniper, Nokia or Ciena certification is a plus.
