  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical and control system faults to minimise production downtime.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot automated production lines, robotic systems and packaging machinery.
  • Provide hands‑on engineering support to production teams, responding quickly to breakdowns and operational issues.
  • Support machinery installations, modifications and engineering improvement projects.
  • Identify recurring equipment faults and implement improvements to increase reliability and efficiency.
  • Work closely with production teams and fellow engineers to ensure effective shift handovers.
  • Record maintenance activities accurately using CMMS systems.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with health and safety procedures.
  • Provide occasional engineering support across other local sites when required.

  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills.
  • Experience maintaining automated production lines, robotics or packaging machinery.
  • Confident diagnosing breakdowns and working independently in a fast‑paced production environment.

  • PLC fault‑finding experience, ideally Siemens, would be advantageous.
  • A recognised engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC or an apprenticeship would be beneficial.
  • Previous experience using CMMS systems and carrying out PPM activities.
  • A proactive approach to maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement.
  • Flexible regarding shift patterns and occasional support at other sites.
