- Lead and manage the transactional finance team, ensuring clear ownership, consistent processes and effective workload management Oversee credit control activities, ensuring agreed processes are followed and overdue debt is actively managed and minimised Invoicing, payment calculations and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery Oversee purchase ledger activities, payment runs and supplier queries Prepare, review and submit VAT returns and ensure timely payments Maintain robust control accounts and reconciliations, including checking back to the nominal ledger Play a key role in audit preparation and liaison with external auditors, ensuring documentation and evidence is complete and well organised Support the Financial Controller with ad-hoc analysis, reporting and cover as required Drive continuous improvement in transactional processes, controls, documentation and system usage Ensure clear guidance notes and process documentation are maintained and embedded across the team Provide operational cover for team members during periods of absence to ensure continuity of service The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences:
- Experience of managing others Good IT skills especially Microsoft Excel Flexible attitude Strong organisational skills with a superior attention to detail A can-do approach Enthusiastic and enjoy working as part of a team Solid communication skills both written and verbal Good problem-solving skills Ability to develop strong working relationships with key staff in other organisations to achieve common goals If you are interested in this role, please send in your CV today!
