• Monitoring same‑day deliveries and handling customer queries and complaints professionally and effectively
• Planning next‑day and future deliveries to maximise fleet efficiency
• Managing inbound and outbound customer and driver communications
• Proactively communicating delivery updates and service changes
• Coordinating internal and external transport assets
• Maintaining accurate records and operational data
• Managing costs while delivering excellent service levels
• Raising and escalating any safety concerns immediately
• Building strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders

• Previous experience in a fleet planning, transport planning, logistics coordination or scheduling role
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritise and work effectively under pressure
• Strong customer service and telephone communication skills
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Confidence communicating with stakeholders at all levels
• Collaborative approach and strong team‑working skills
• Commercial awareness and sound decision‑making ability
• Strong IT skills and experience using planning or scheduling systems
• Knowledge of transport legislation (advantageous)
• Geographical knowledge of the Midlands region (preferred)
