What You’ll Be Doing- Monitoring same‑day deliveries and handling customer queries and complaints professionally and effectively
- Planning next‑day and future deliveries to maximise fleet efficiency
- Managing inbound and outbound customer and driver communications
- Proactively communicating delivery updates and service changes
- Coordinating internal and external transport assets
- Maintaining accurate records and operational data
- Managing costs while delivering excellent service levels
- Raising and escalating any safety concerns immediately
- Building strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders
- Previous experience in a fleet planning, transport planning, logistics coordination or scheduling role
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and work effectively under pressure
- Strong customer service and telephone communication skills
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Confidence communicating with stakeholders at all levels
- Collaborative approach and strong team‑working skills
- Commercial awareness and sound decision‑making ability
- Strong IT skills and experience using planning or scheduling systems
- Knowledge of transport legislation (advantageous)
- Geographical knowledge of the Midlands region (preferred)
- Be part of a small, supportive and highly collaborative on‑site team
- Hybrid working available after probation (one day per week from home where operationally possible)
