Reporting to the Demand & Forecast Manager, this role will effectively ‘drive’ the business forecasting software maintaining and updating volume forecasts accurately. Issuing forecast review files on time and in the appropriate detail. It will also analyse forecast accuracy figures, and target consistently underperforming SKUs, categories or customers to drive sustainable improvement. Generating reports and all routine communications output from the forecasting department.
Responsible for the good housekeeping of all relevant systems and carrying out administration activities as allocated by the Forecast & Demand Manager for the Forecasting function.
- Manage demand forecasting activities to ensure accurate planning, support customer service targets, and optimise operational efficiency. Analyse forecast data, market trends, and customer demand patterns to identify risks, opportunities, and potential supply constraints.
- Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, and other key stakeholders to support the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and business decision-making.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and forecasting KPIs, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance.
- Maintain forecasting systems and master data, ensuring data integrity, system effectiveness, and adherence to forecasting best practices. Investigate and resolve forecast exceptions, demand fluctuations, promotions, and supply issues to improve forecast reliability and support business objectives
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
- Previous experience within supply chain, forecasting, planning, inventory, demand planning, logistics, finance, or another data-driven environment would be advantageous.
- A proactive mindset and ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
- Someone who enjoys solving problems and influencing decision-making through data.
