Transport Operator

Pertemps North Midlands seeks a Transport Operator for its Kegworth site, paying £14.62 per hour on a full-time basis with both temporary and permanent contracts available. Working Monday to Friday from 9am to 5:30pm, you will coordinate EU-to-UK shipments and monitor vehicle movements through TMS platforms. Your duties involve escalating operational problems and enacting recovery strategies alongside Transport Planners and the Customs team.

Prior logistics experience is essential, as is proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong written, verbal, and face-to-face communication matters here. This role stems from fresh contract wins, offering steady workflow within a growing operation.

Transport Operator Pertemps have an excellent opportunity to work as a Transport Operator within there expanding transport team. The reason for expansion is due to new contract wins.

Working Hours / Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm.

• Have previous experience in a fast paced Transport and Logistics Operation.
• Be comfortable with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communicator on email, phone and in person.

• Track and coordinate shipments from the EU to UK.
• Monitor vehicle and shipment movements using TMS systems.
• Escalate critical operational issues and implement recovery plans.
• Work collaboratively with Transport Planners and Customs team.

You will receive: £14.62 per hour.
