We're recruiting on behalf of a successful and growing business seeking a Customer Service & Planning Coordinator to play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional customer service and seamless operational delivery.
This is a varied position that combines customer service, production planning, logistics coordination, and supplier relationship management. You'll act as a key point of contact for customers, suppliers, and internal teams while helping to ensure products are delivered efficiently and on time.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary contact for customers, suppliers, and transport partners.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Manage customer enquiries and resolve issues in a professional, solution-focused manner.
- Provide proactive communication throughout the order and delivery process.
- Coordinate and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand.
- Liaise closely with production and procurement teams to ensure material availability.
- Identify potential scheduling challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Support efficient production processes and delivery performance.
- Arrange and confirm customer deliveries in line with operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate order and delivery records within internal systems.
- Work closely with transport and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery.
- Monitor delivery performance and communicate updates as required.
- Manage sales and purchase contract administration accurately.
- Collaborate across multiple departments to ensure end-to-end process alignment.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to a culture of operational excellence and teamwork.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a customer-facing, planning, or coordination role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional and confident telephone manner.
- Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
- A highly organised and analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Good numerical and commercial awareness.
- The ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, and adapt to changing demands.
- A resilient, proactive, and customer-focused mindset.
