We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to take ownership of maintenance operations at our Mountsorrel Quarry. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll motivate a skilled team, maximise plant performance, and play a key part in delivering safe, reliable and efficient operations.

What you'll be doing

As Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you'll lead the maintenance function across fixed and mobile plant, ensuring the highest standards of safety, reliability and performance.

You'll:

Lead and develop a maintenance team, driving engagement and accountability

Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes

Manage breakdown response, defect management and root cause analysis

Drive improvements in plant productivity, OEE and operational performance

Oversee inspections, maintenancechecksand statutory compliance

Promote best practice in maintenance management and continuous improvement

Control maintenance-related costs, includinglabourand overtime

Resolve technical issues and support engineering projects

Manage contractor relationships and service agreements

Champion a strong health,safetyand zero-harm culture across site

What we're looking for Previous experience as a Maintenance Supervisor, Engineering Supervisor, Maintenance Manager or Engineering Manager within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment

Strong knowledge of mechanical,pneumatic and hydraulic systems

Understanding of electrical systems

Experience leading and developing teams

Confidence challenging standards and holding teams accountable for quality and delivery

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Experience with Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement techniquesIT literacy, including Microsoft Office applications

DesirableHNC/HND, recognised apprenticeship or BEng in a relevant engineering discipline

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, FMEA and Continuous Improvement methodologies
