Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician (Contract)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join a well-established manufacturing operation in Loughborough. Due to an immediate requirement within the maintenance team, we are looking for an engineer who can hit the ground running and provide support across two nearby production facilities.

The sites consist of a highly automated robotic packing operation and a manufacturing facility operating within a regulated environment. The successful candidate will be involved in fault finding, maintenance and continuous improvement activities across a range of production and automation equipment.

• Reactive and planned maintenance on manufacturing and automated production equipment.
• Fault finding and troubleshooting on robotic and PLC-controlled machinery.
• Mechanical and electrical maintenance activities across both sites.
• Supporting production teams to minimise downtime and maximise equipment reliability.
• Working within regulated manufacturing environments and adhering to site safety standards.

• Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician/Engineer within a manufacturing or automated production environment.
• Strong mechanical maintenance background with a good understanding of electrical systems.
• Comfortable working across automated production lines and manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.

• Initially working rotating early and late shifts while completing induction and familiarisation:
  • Early Shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm
  • Late Shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
• Transitioning into a predominantly days-based role:
  • Day Shift: 8:00am – 4:00pm
