Machine Operator
Pure Staff is currently recruiting a Machine Operator to join our client based in Loughborough, a well‑established food production business. The role reports directly to the Production Supervisor and involves managing production machinery efficiently, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring production targets are achieved.
Responsibilities- Set up machinery for production runs and maintain clean work areas.
- Operate and adjust machine settings to meet production requirements.
- Ensure adequate supplies of labels, packaging, sauces, and raw materials.
- Perform product quality checks, including weight, taste, packaging integrity, metal detection, and date code verification.
- Identify and report machine faults and assist with troubleshooting.
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks, cleaning, lubrication, and machine strip‑downs after runs.
- Follow all health, safety, food hygiene, and company procedures.
- Collaborate with Production Supervisors, Technical Support, and production teams.
- Train and mentor less experienced operators when required.
- Complete all production, quality, and maintenance paperwork accurately.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
- Participate in taste panels and maintain company quality standards.
- Previous experience in a Machine Operator or similar production role.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Good mathematical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast‑paced production environment.
- Strong technical understanding of machinery operation and basic maintenance.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to identify faults quickly.
- Team‑oriented approach with a positive attitude.
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and food hygiene standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and hard‑working.
- £12.71 per hour.
- Monday – Friday.
- 40 hours per week.
- 06:00 – 14:30.
- Weekly pay from an experienced payroll team.
- Holiday accrued up to 28 days (pro‑rata).
- Temp‑to‑perm opportunity for the right candidate.
