We are seeking 3 x dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurses to join our healthcare team to carry out our services across Leicestershire, Nottingham, Rutland, Northamptonshire. The successful candidates will provide high-quality patient care within a hybrid setting, supporting the delivery of essential medical services. - To work on the Roving Health Units, delivering vaccinations to the local populations
- Cytology
- To complete daily site reports via our sharepoint site.
- Working within GP practices to support their vaccination campaigns in areas of deprivation and health inequalities.
- Engage with the General Public to raise awareness around vaccinations and health.
- Follow agreed policies and protocols, refer to the senior nurse or Head of Nursing as appropriate.
- Maintain and clean equipment after use.
- Maintain environment, including stock rotation and stock control.
- Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of environment.
- Stock taking of vaccines and reporting to lead nurse for ordering.
- Use of clinical administration systems such as System1
- Accurate documentation of patient care and recorded in a timely fashion.
- A duty to inform the lead nurse or the Head of Nursing of potential problems or issues arising within the day-to-day duties
- Attend meetings when required.
- Awareness of national standards of infection control and cleanliness and regulatory / contractual / professional requirements, and good practice guidelines.
- Responsible for the correct and safe management of the specimens process, including collection, labelling, handling, use of correct and clean containers, storage, and transport arrangements.
- Assess own performance and take accountability for own actions, either directly or under supervision.
- Communicate effectively with other team members.

- Management and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the practice including provision, ordering, availability, and ongoing correct usage by staff.
- Responsible for hand hygiene across the practice
- Ownership of infection control and clinically based patient care protocols, and implementation of those protocols.
- Monitoring practice facilities and equipment in relation to infection control, ensuring that provision of hand cleansing facilities, wipes etc are sufficient to ensure a good clinical working environment. Lack of facilities to be escalated as appropriate.
- Safe management of sharps procedures including training, use, storage, and disposal.
- Using appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy, clean, and sterile, and safe way, free from hazards. Initiation of remedial / corrective action where needed or escalation to responsible management.
