Loughborough Salary: £14.00 per hour Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Specialist on behalf of our fantastic and long-standing client based in Loughborough. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established food manufacturing business that designs, develops and produces sauces for a wide range of market sectors. Your Role as a Quality Assurance Specialist As a Quality Assurance Specialist , your duties will include:
Supporting the Production Manager and Operators with their responsibilities for food safety and quality, including training. Evaluating process controls during production to ensure compliance with agreed specifications and procedures. Completing quality checks in line with product specifications, QAS requirements and organoleptic standards. Managing non-conforming products, QA holds and product releases. Assisting with and carrying out audits, including BRC internal audits, Glass and Plastic audits, CCP checks, GMP inspections, product and process audits, temperature monitoring, pH testing, cleaning audits and metal detection checks.

Monitoring equipment performance through internal calibration of scales, pH meters and thermometers. Amending factory process control documentation and accurately completing all relevant quality records. Carrying out traceability exercises and maintaining traceability records from start to finish. Inducting new starters and ensuring relevant training is provided. Completing monthly allergen cleaning verification checks and random machine inspections. Championing food safety and quality standards throughout the factory.

Challenging and supporting colleagues to maintain compliance and best practice. Tasting products where required as part of quality control procedures. Requirements Previous experience in a similar Quality Assurance role within the food manufacturing sector. Ability to speak and write fluent English. Strong mathematical aptitude. Excellent attention to detail. Good organisational and record-keeping skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Confident communicator with a proactive approach to maintaining standards. Pay & Shifts £14.00 per hour Monday to Friday 14:40 - 22:30 Temporary to Permanent opportunity What's in it for you?
