GSL Education is seeking dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Workers to join a specialist therapeutic residential home in Loughborough
. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity supporting children and young people with emotional, behavioural, and complex additional needs in a safe and nurturing environment.

As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and emotional support to children and young people, helping them develop confidence, independence, and life skills. You will work closely with the home's therapeutic team, education providers, and external agencies to ensure each child receives the support they need to achieve their full potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing day-to-day care and support within the residential home.

• Building positive and trusting relationships with children and young people.

• Supporting individual care plans and behaviour support strategies.

• Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour using positive behaviour approaches.

• Encouraging participation in education, activities, and daily routines.

• Supporting emotional wellbeing, personal development, and independence.

• Maintaining accurate records and working collaboratively with multi-agency professionals.

This specialist EBD Therapeutic Children's Residential Home supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, including:

• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

• ADHD.

• Attachment Disorders.

• Trauma and Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE).

• Aggressive and heightened behaviours.

• Complex emotional and behavioural needs.

We're looking for resilient, caring, and reliable individuals who have experience supporting children or young people in challenging environments.

• Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle.

• Flexibility to work a shift pattern, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts.

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

• Ability to provide a full employment history and two professional references.

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

• Previous experience in a children's residential home.

• Experience supporting challenging behaviour within residential care, education, secure settings, youth work, or mental health services.

• Children's Residential Support Workers.

• SEN Support Workers and Teaching Assistants.

• Youth and Community Workers.

• Mental Health Support Workers.

• Healthcare and Social Care Professionals.

• Ex-Military, Police, Prison, and Security personnel with transferable experience.

• Psychology and Criminology graduates
