Material Handler I - Chemical Warehouse Picking
Location:
Loughborough (Bishop Meadow Road)
Pay Rate: £13.20 per hour (£26,083.20 per annum equivalent)
Working Pattern:
Full-Time | 38 hours per week
Monday - Thursday: 08:30 - 16:30
Friday: 08:30 - 17:00
Contract Duration: 12 Months (Temporary - New Position)
About the Role
We are recruiting for a Material Handler to join our warehouse team in Loughborough. This role focuses primarily on picking orders accurately and efficiently within our chemical warehouse, adhering to strict Safety, Quality, and Delivery (SQD) standards.
Key Responsibilities
Pick and assemble customer orders using radio data terminals and picking lists.
Prepare, package, and label chemical cartons and pallets for safe dispatch.
Receive, unload, and check incoming goods against Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs) and purchase orders.
Book stock into the Warehouse Management System and locate items in designated storage zones.
Load and unload transport vehicles safely according to manifest sequences.
Support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen).
Requirements
Previous experience in warehouse operations (picking, packing, or dispatch).
Strong understanding of written and verbal English procedures.
Excellent focus on Health & Safety guidelines and high quality standards.
Self-motivated with strong teamwork and communication skills.
A Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence is preferred, but not essential.
