Hours: Monday to Friday, 12:00pm - 1:30pm

Remedy Education is currently looking for a reliable and caring Midday Meal Supervisor to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Woodford Green from September.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants a role that fits around school hours. You will be responsible for helping to ensure pupils have a safe, happy and enjoyable lunchtime, both in the dining area and outside in the playground.

The school is looking for someone who is approachable, confident and able to build positive relationships with children while maintaining clear boundaries.

As a Midday Meal Supervisor, you will:

• Supervise pupils during lunchtime and ensure their safety at all times
• Support children in the dining hall and playground
• Encourage positive behaviour and good manners
• Help children develop their social skills and independence
• Deal calmly and appropriately with any minor behaviour issues
• Encourage pupils to play safely and include others in activities
• Support children who may need additional help during lunchtime
• Report any concerns or incidents to the appropriate member of staff
• Work as part of the wider school team to maintain a positive lunchtime environment

• Has experience working with children, either in a school or similar setting
• Is patient, friendly and approachable
• Can communicate confidently with primary-aged children
• Has good behaviour management skills
• Is reliable, punctual and able to commit to Monday-Friday
• Can remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations
• Takes safeguarding and children's welfare seriously
• Is happy working both indoors and outdoors

Previous school experience is desirable but not essential
. The most important thing is having the right attitude and enjoying working with children.
