We are looking for a motivated graduate or early-career professional who wants to build a career in energy management, carbon reporting, and sustainability consultancy. This is an opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues while contributing to real customer projects, site surveys, technical analysis, and reporting.

The Role

As a Graduate Energy Consultant, you will support the delivery of Energy Services customer orders through energy assessment, carbon reporting, data analysis, site surveys, and customer-facing consultancy support.

You will develop technical capability through structured learning, mentoring, and practical project work, including opportunities to work towards relevant accreditations in carbon reporting, energy management, and Display Energy Certificates.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse Energy and Carbon Data

Collect, prepare, validate, and analyse energy and carbon data to support customer projects.

Support Carbon Reporting Services, including GHG, SECR, and wider carbon reporting requirements.

Contribute to SBTi-related work by organising emissions data and preparing evidence for target-setting support.

Input, manage, and interrogate data within systems such as Sigma.

Support Assessments and Site Surveys

Undertake energy analysis, data collection, site-survey support, and reporting tasks to help deliver customer orders accurately and on time.

Support site surveys across the UK, including verification of measurements, floor areas, site plans, and building information.

Help deliver Display Energy Certificates and Recommendation Reports using accredited software under appropriate guidance.

Liaise with customers and colleagues to arrange visits and obtain relevant energy and building data.

Produce Clear, High-Quality Outputs

Produce accurate reports, dashboards, insight, and recommendations for review before customer issue.

Assist with report quality reviews, including proofreading, calculation validation, and evidence checks.

Follow defined processes and contribute to improvements in templates, methods, and reporting standards.

Develop as a Consultant

Build technical knowledge, accreditation capability, and customer-consultancy skills through structured learning and mentoring.

Develop confident, professional communication with customers and colleagues.

Use feedback positively and contribute as an adaptable and reliable member of the Energy Services team.

About You

You will be practical, customer-focused, analytical, and committed to delivering accurate, high-quality work.

Essential Skills & Experience

Degree-level qualification in a relevant technical, analytical, environmental, engineering, building services, or sustainability-related subject, or equivalent experience.

Interest in carbon reporting, energy management, building compliance, data analysis, or sustainability.

Ability to work accurately with data, follow defined processes, and produce clear written outputs.

Good Microsoft Excel and reporting skills, with a willingness to develop advanced capability.

Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Clear written and verbal communication and a professional approach to customer care.

Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites across the UK.

Desirable Experience

Experience gained through degree projects, placements, internships, or work involving data analysis, reporting, buildings, energy, carbon, or environmental topics.

Awareness of GHG, SECR, SBTi, ESOS, UK utility markets, energy management systems, or Display Energy Certificate requirements.

Willingness to work towards relevant technical and professional accreditations.
