Finance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join a growing, private equity-backed service business with a turnover of approximately 100M. This is a key role focused on delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and managing a finance team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full ownership of the month-end close process, including preparation and review of detailed management accounts
• Ensure all reconciliations, journals, and adjustments are completed accurately and on time
• Deliver comprehensive month-end reporting packs with variance analysis and commentary for senior stakeholders and investors
• Maintain compliance with SOX requirements and ensure a robust control environment
• Oversee statutory reporting and liaise with external auditors
• Manage and develop a finance team, ensuring clear objectives and accountability
• Support FP&A activities, providing insight into performance and trends
• Contribute to integration projects and process enhancements

Skills and Experience Required:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA essential)
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and proven experience in month-end reporting and management accounts
• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a finance team effectively onsite
• Experience working under SOX compliance or within a strong control environment
• FP&A experience with strong analytical and reporting skills
• SQL experience desirable
• Integration experience advantageous
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
