• Manage the hotel's day to day accounting function, providing financial leadership to the business and clear structure and direction to the Finance team
• Preparation and analysis of the financial reports and reconciliations, internal and external reporting, budgeting/forecasting, audit and control, asset and liability reconciliation, working capital and cash control
• Provide ongoing analytical support, monitoring the operating department's actual and projected sales and profit and coaches management team to ensure financial goals are met and opportunities are identified and addressed
• Maintain a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets improve operations and profitability and manage business risks
• Produce accurate forecasts that enable operations to react to changes in the business
• Reconcile balance sheet and ensure account balances are current and supported by appropriate documentation in accordance with SOPs
• Facilitates P&L critique meetings to review results with management team
• Manage internal, external and regulatory audit processes and ensures compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, verifying that hotel policies are administered fairly and consistently
• Effectively manage the day to day operation of the Finance team to execute finance and accounting responsibilities for the property
• Provide analytical support during budget reviews to identify cost saving and productivity opportunities
• Verify that the P&L is accurate and statements are delivered to appropriate individuals in a timely manner
• Assist other departments, wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships within the whole hotel

• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
• Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to the manager
• Complete safety training and certifications
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
• Support the team to reach common goals
• Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
