Welder Fabricator

Welder Fabricator to join a structural & architectural steel fabrication company. This position pays £16–£22 per hour, depending on experience. Working hours are Monday – Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.

• Complete all fabrication/welding tasks as assigned by the Workshop Manager accurately and efficiently, using own initiative as far as possible.
• Notify Workshop Manager of any concerns in relation to the above.
• Be physically fit due to high levels of manual handling duties.
• Take responsibility for the health & safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work.
• Work to tight deadlines.
• Possess ability to work to and respect for current and relevant H&S requirements.

• £16–£22 per hour.

• Experience in the structural & architectural steelwork fabrication industry.
• Must be able to MIG weld to a high standard; coded experience is essential (or the successful attainment of butt & fillet welds will be part of the conditions of contract).
• Not essential but helpful if candidate holds a forklift licence.
• Ability to read, understand and work from fabrication drawings.
• Experience with MAG drills, power tools and other related machinery is desirable.
