An outstanding independent school in North East London are seeking a School Nurse. This is a part time (2 days a week) and permanent from March 2026. This is a term time only role (c.34 weeks a year)
The School prides itself in the excellent care given to its pupils, and their School Nurse is integral to this. The Medical Room is a dedicated facility within the school that provides first aid, health care, and wellbeing support to students and staff. It serves as a safe and confidential space for managing minor injuries, sudden illnesses, and ongoing health needs during the school day.
The department works closely with parents, teachers, and external health professionals to ensure the highest standards of care and compliance with safeguarding and health regulations. The ideal candidate for this role will be a registered Nurse with a kind, caring nature and meticulous attention to detail. They will ideally have experience of working in paediatrics, in particular administering medication and first aid to children on an ad hoc basis as well as to those with chronic and complex medical conditions.

Qualifications:
* Nursing qualification
* Registered Nurse
* Experience as a Nurse, (in a school setting would be an advantage)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively with children, parents, and staff members
* Knowledge of primary healthcare practices and regulatory requirements
* Competent IT skills
* Sound understanding of safeguarding principles
