Are you an experienced Nurse ready to step into a leadership role, or a Charge Nurse looking for a new challenge in a specialist neurological setting?
We are looking for a confident, compassionate and proactive Charge Nurse to join our dedicated team supporting people with complex long‑term neurological conditions.
You’ll be part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team delivering 24‑hour nursing and therapy services, including tracheostomy and ventilator care. This is a role where your leadership, clinical expertise and commitment to high‑quality care will make a genuine difference every day.
What You’ll Be Doing- Leading and coordinating the delivery of high‑quality nursing care within a specialist neurological unit
- Supporting, supervising and developing nurses and healthcare staff to promote excellent teamwork
- Monitoring service users’ conditions and responding effectively to changes
- Delegating tasks, managing staff allocation and ensuring safe, effective shift coordination
- Acting as a key link between nursing staff and the wider MDT
- Making critical decisions around staffing, resource allocation and clinical priorities
- Ensuring smooth day‑to‑day running of the unit and maintaining high standards of documentation and compliance
- Registered Nurse with active NMC registration
- Strong neurological experience at Charge Nurse / Ward Sister level
- Competency in tracheostomy care, ventilator management, PEG and catheter care
- Experience leading teams within complex neurological or respiratory care
- Positive, compassionate and resilient approach
- Commitment to evidence‑based practice and high‑quality care
- Previous experience in a similar environment with proven leadership capability
A 22‑bed specialist service providing 24‑hour nursing and therapy support for people with long‑term neurological conditions, physical disabilities and those recovering from traumatic injuries. Facilities include high‑dependency equipment, ceiling track hoists, therapy spaces, spacious lounges and accessible gardens.
