Accountant – Client Accounting and Assurance

This role is with MAJOR, MORRISON & DAVID, CPAS, a professional services firm dedicated to providing comprehensive accounting, tax, and financial advisory services to a diverse client base. As an Accounting Associate, you will serve as a foundational member of the team, directly contributing to the accurate and compliant financial operations of our clients. Your expertise in full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation will be essential in supporting businesses, enabling them to make informed decisions and achieve their long-term financial objectives.

  Owns the accurate preparation of financial records, tax returns, and provides advisory services to ensure client financial health and compliance.

• Bookkeeping:
  Manage the complete cycle of bookkeeping activities, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining general ledgers for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Compliance:
  Oversee the precise processing of client payrolls and prepare essential sales tax filings, adhering strictly to all relevant regulatory guidelines and ensuring timely submissions.
• Reporting:
  Take responsibility for the preparation of comprehensive financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, to provide clear and actionable insights into client financial performance.
• Taxation:
  Prepare a variety of tax returns for individuals and businesses, accurately completing all necessary forms and schedules to ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws.
• Advisory:
  Provide critical assurance services and offer expert financial advising to clients on a range of financial matters, helping them understand their financial position and strategize for future growth.

• Background:
  Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
