Primary Responsibilities
The Construction Field Supervisor reports to the Utility Construction Manager and oversees construction phases of projects for substations and transmission lines, from initiation to final commissioning and closeout. Responsibilities include project planning, safety compliance, environmental coordination, quality assurance, schedule monitoring, and team leadership.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- 10-15 years’ experience in Electric Utility Transmission or Distribution.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ability to guide construction crews and management on safety standards.
Working Conditions
- Work primarily at construction sites within the utility service area, including substations and transmission lines.
- Requires wearing safety equipment and tolerating climate changes.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 20 pounds, communicate effectively, and perform duties requiring manual dexterity and mobility.
