CREATIVE SERVICES PRODUCER - KCRG

KCRG‑TV9 is the most‑watched and most‑trusted news outlet covering Eastern Iowa. Based in Cedar Rapids with a bureau in Dubuque, we are dedicated to being a part of our community and keeping that community informed. We produce 7+ hours of news each day, support a robust social media and digital platform, and carry dozens of live sports and community events a year with our live production unit.

KCRG is seeking a skilled producer with writer/filmmaker/graphic designer experience to write, shoot, and edit commercials for advertising clients as well as station promotions. Candidate must be a skilled visual storyteller with skills in writing, cinematography, and Adobe Creative Suite editing programs, specifically Premiere Pro and After Effects. This individual is a hands‑on producer with interpersonal skills to communicate needs to on‑camera individuals to achieve the best production results.

• Work collaboratively with a diverse group of staff
• Usage of Adobe Creative Suite and its various programs
• Create ideas, write scripts, and coordinate commercial shoots with both sales staff and advertising clients
• Shoot and edit on multiple camera formats
• Maintain an ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and locations
• Present ideas and gain approval and satisfaction from clients
• Practice self‑motivation and demonstrate the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, both independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Time management skills and day‑to‑day project flexibility are required
• Other duties as assigned

• Associate's degree or higher preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in film production/videography preferred
• Ability to communicate both internally with staff and externally with advertising clients
• Knowledge and proficiency of Adobe Creative Suite programs
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Flexibility when it comes to scheduling and, on occasion, working an evening, weekend, and/or holiday
• Availability to be present at commercial shoot locations and in person for editing
• Capable of providing a valid driver's license and the ability to drive company‑owned vehicles
