Location: New Orleans

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Architect with 7–10 years of professional experience to lead the design, documentation, and delivery of diverse architectural projects. This full‑time, in‑person position requires a technically strong, self‑directed architect capable of managing all project phases—from early programming and conceptual design through construction administration and closeout.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Studio Director, Senior Technical Director, Project Managers and Executive Team to uphold NANO’s design standards and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Lead conceptualization & design development, ensuring projects align with NANO’s mission, vision and values.
  • Prepare and coordinate construction documentation, ensuring code compliance, consultant coordination, quality assurance, and QA/QC.
  • Assist Project Managers with schedule, budget, staffing and review of subconsultant and client invoices.
  • Conduct site visits, review submittals, RFIs and substitution requests; attend client and consultant meetings.
  • Mentor junior staff and participate in performance reviews.
  • Provide technical guidance and develop innovative design solutions across all phases.
Qualifications
  • 7–10 years architectural experience, including at least 5 years as a Project Architect/Project Manager.
  • Accredited professional architectural degree and licensed/registered architect.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Rhino, Energy Modeling and MS Office.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and organizational abilities.
  • Working knowledge of building codes, standards and construction practices.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team and to delegate responsibilities.
