Interventional Cardiologist – Structural Heart

Specialty:
Interventional Cardiology with Structural Heart Expertise
- Perform interventional procedures including angioplasty, stenting, and coronary diagnostics
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as echocardiograms, stress tests, and angiograms
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary heart team, including cardiac surgery, imaging, and advanced heart failure
- Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiac care and consultations
- Participate in STEMI call (1:3 coverage) and ensure rapid response for emergent cases
- Maintain thorough documentation and uphold clinical quality standards
- (Preferred but not required) Participate in structural heart interventions, including TAVR, PFO/ASD closure, TEER, Watchman and other emerging therapies
- MD or DO degree; completion of U.S.
-based internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship - Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology, including Structural Heart procedures
- Board Certification in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology
- Eligible for unrestricted Louisiana medical license
- American Heart Association, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
- Demonstrated procedural proficiency and strong clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient engagement abilities
