Ochsner Health in New Orleans is seeking physicians BC/BE in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine to join our expanding section of seven neonatologists. Recent graduates and experienced neonatologists with training or experience in level IV NICU are invited to consider joining our division working alongside a team of experienced advance practice practitioners. We are the only hospital in Louisiana to provide both Level IV neonatal and obstetric care at the same facility, Ochsner Baptist Hospital.

• Ochsner Baptist Hospital features a state-of-the-art 67 bed, level IV NICU with private rooms for singleton patients as well as multiples.
• Our section of fetal echo is located at Ochsner Baptist Hospital and coordinates care of babies with complex congenital heart diseases.
• Our team participates in the Vermont Oxford Network, has continuous performance improvement initiatives underway.
• A full spectrum of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialty support is always available.
• Ochsner Baptist offers neonatal telemedicine services and a neonatal resident rotation.

Our comprehensive Pediatrics Program including primary care pediatricians and pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists (Ochsner Children’s™) represents over 230 physicians. The group is the region’s leading integrated provider of multispecialty care for newborns, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. We offer a full range of pediatric complex specialty services including congenital heart surgery and cardiac transplantation, liver and bone marrow transplantation, a comprehensive surgical sub‑specialty group, and the region’s only comprehensive multidisciplinary developmental center.

We recently announced the building of a new separate, comprehensive, dedicated Children’s Hospital on our main campus, with expected opening in 2027.

We currently care for patients in an expanding 67‑bed Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a 14‑bed PICU, a 12‑bed pediatric CV‑ICU, and a 44‑bed pediatric acute unit, with a dedicated pediatric emergency room, and full‑time, region‑wide in‑house pediatric and neonatal transport teams.

In addition to patient care, Ochsner Children’s Hospital has an ACGME‑accredited pediatric residency program and is responsible for teaching pediatric residents from the Tulane‑Ochsner Pediatric Residency program as well as medical students from both Tulane and the University of Queensland. Ochsner Health and Xavier University of Louisiana recently announced an agreement to establish a joint College of Medicine.
