Physician - Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist

Ochsner Children’s Hospital – New Orleans, Louisiana

We are seeking a BC/BE Fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologist with sub‑fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia or experience with Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia to join our Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology faculty. The successful candidate will work with a team of three faculty members on congenital cardiac pathology, palliative repairs, the state‑wide pediatric heart transplant program, and ventricular assist device support.

Our practice includes the full spectrum of congenital cardiac pathology and palliative repairs, with a pediatric heart transplantation and VAD program active for infants, children, and teenagers. We also serve a 54‑bed Level III‑C NICU and a 26‑bed PICU and cover approximately 250 bypass and 500 cath lab cases annually.

• Provide anesthesia care for the full breadth of pediatric cardiac and non‑cardiac procedures.
• Operate within a tiered call system with 1st call divided equally among faculty; post‑call day off if stay past specified time.
• Maintain a 100% pediatric practice; adult anesthesia cases available if desired.
• Potential to incorporate academic duties into your schedule.

• Medical degree (MD/DO) with BC/BE Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology.
• Sub‑fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia or alternative experience in pediatric cardiac anesthesia.
