Physician - Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist

Position Overview

Ochsner Children’s Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana is searching for a BC/BE Fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologist with sub‑fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia or experience with Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia.

The successful candidate will join a team of three Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology faculty members and provide anesthesia care for pediatric cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology procedures, including heart transplant and ventricular assist device cases.

• Board‑eligible or Board‑certified Pediatric Anesthesiology (BC/BE)
• Sub‑fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia or equivalent experience
• Experience with congenital cardiac pathology, palliative repairs, and complex cardiac procedures
• Ability to cover 100% pediatric practice; adult cases available if desired

• Provide anesthesia for the full spectrum of pediatric cardiac and non‑cardiac procedures
• Cover congenital cardiac cases, with a rotating 1st‑call schedule and post‑call day off upon extended stay
• Collaborate with a team of CRNAs and surgery staff; typical 1:1 CRNA ratio
• Participate in academic activities and CME as part of schedule
• Support a busy program with ~250 bypass cases and ~500 cath‑lab cases per year
