Location: Iowa
Overview
A facility in Iowa is seeking an ObGyn physician to provide ongoing outpatient and hospital-based coverage. The schedule includes weekday clinic hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., followed by 24-hour hospital call from 7 a.m. to 7 a.m. Clinic volumes average 16–24 patients per day, primarily obstetric cases. During call coverage, the physician will supervise a group of midwives. In the clinic, there may be collaboration with residents and certified nurse midwives as needed.
Responsibilities- Provide outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care during scheduled clinic hours (8 a.m.–4 p.m.).
- Serve on 24-hour hospital call, beginning at 7 a.m. and ending at 7 a.m. the following day.
- Supervise a group of midwives during call coverage.
- Collaborate with residents and certified nurse midwives in the clinic as needed.
- Board certified
- BLS certification required
