YourEveryday Patient Care
- Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with hematologic and oncologic disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing the latest evidence-based practices.
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, routine examinations, and follow-up visits.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and expected outcomes.
- Respond to patient calls, messages, and clinical concerns in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient documentation and medical records.
- Recognize emergencies and respond appropriately in accordance with organizational policies.
- Identify signs of abuse or neglect and report concerns according to established guidelines.
- Consult with and provide medical supervision to clinical staff as needed.
- Collaborate with nurses, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, social workers, and other care team members to coordinate high-quality patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary discussions to optimize patient outcomes.
- Support care initiatives focused on quality, safety, patient experience, and operational excellence.
- Participate in an equitable physician call schedule.
- Maintain patient access through appointment availability and timely follow-up care.
- Support efficient clinic operations and patient throughput.
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection prevention, quality improvement, and regulatory standards.
- Implement standard and transmission-based precautions in accordance with organizational policies.
- Promote a safe clinical environment for patients, visitors, and team members.
- Report safety concerns and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support provider compliance with patient access and patient care standards.
- Collaborate with administration regarding provider concerns, initiatives, and operational improvements.
- Participate in provider evaluations and performance reviews.
- Assist with development and management of provider schedules and call coverage.
- Education Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
- Experience Successful completion of an accredited residency program.
- Fellowship training in Hematology and Medical Oncology preferred.
