Overview: The DeSoto Parish School Board is seeking a dynamic and experienced educational leader to join our school community as Principal of Mansfield High School. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to student success, staff support, academic excellence and positive school culture. This individual will lead our high school in developing and executing a vision that ensures a safe, engaging and positive learning environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree with an Educational Leadership endorsement
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching and/or school leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of high school curriculum, instruction and assessment practices
• Proven track record of creating a positive and inclusive school environment
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team of educators and support staff
• Commitment to ongoing professional development

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the Mansfield High School
• Provide leadership in the development and implementation of school programs, policies and procedures
• Foster a safe, positive and inclusive school culture that supports the academic, social and emotional development of all students
• Supervise and evaluate faculty, staff and administration to ensure effective teaching practices and professional growth
• Collaborate with teachers, parents and community stakeholders to improve student outcomes
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations and standards
• Manage school budgets and resources effectively
• Promote and sustain effective communication between staff, students, parents and the community
• Utilize data to drive decision-making and ensure continuous school improvement

Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications, per the DeSoto Parish School Board salary schedule.
