Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages recruitment territories by establishing and cultivating ongoing relationships with high school students, parents, guidance counselors, and principals in the Metro New Orleans and surrounding areas (e.g. Orleans, Jefferson, St. Tammany, St. John, St. James, St. Charles, St. Bernard). Serves as a mentor to high school students participating in the DOS program. Works with community partners to coordinate outreach in the community via events, workshops, enrollment assistance, etc.
Participates in telecounseling initiatives. Assists with the planning and implementation of on-campus career showcases and preview events, and off-campus events designed for traditional and non-traditional students for Perkins programs. Conducts on-campus tours and assists applicants with the enrollment process. Data entry of prospects into BANNER. Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Recruitment and Outreach.
Education:
Associate's Degree. Minimum education may be substituted for 8-10 years of related experience.
Required Experience:- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent oral, public speaking, and written skills
- High level of energy
- Self-starter
- Possesses a strong work ethic
- Knowledge of Microsoft suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of the enrollment team
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Experience:- Bilingual, Spanish preferred
- Have 3-5 years of Student Affairs experience
- Possess Customer Service experience
