Duties and Responsibilities- Provide academic assistance to students individually or in small groups to enhance student learning without compromising the quality of the student learning experience.
- Review concepts and learning objectives for courses taught in General Biology, Cell Biology, and Microbiology, specific to the subject area, to be able to assist students with course content.
- Assist students with understanding concepts presented in the classroom.
- Distribute learning materials to supplement lessons presented in class (worksheets, study guides, test/exam reviews, etc.).
- Provide basic technical support to students using the lab computers.
- Communicate services to students and staff.
- Assist in carrying out the resource lab’s rules and guidelines.
- Maintain the learning environment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
- Perform other duties related to the School of Stem as assigned.
- Proctor exams as needed.
Associate’s Degree or higher with a minimum of 18 hours of college level biology courses.
Required ExperienceMinimum of one year of general office experience or tutoring/teaching in a college setting.
Preferred EducationAssociate’s Degree or higher in Biology or related field.
Preferred ExperienceMinimum of one year of tutoring/teaching in a college setting.
