Assistant or Associate Professor of Architecture (Tenure-Track/Tenured)
Join the Tulane University School of Architecture and Built Environment (TuSABE) as an Assistant or Associate Professor in Architecture. We are seeking candidates with a strong design pedagogy who will teach core design studios and core courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in architectural design studios and cohesive design pedagogy.
- Strong teaching record in undergraduate and graduate courses.
- Research and creative practice in one or more areas:
Computational Design, Media, and Representation
; Energy Modeling, Circularity, and Decarbonization
; Materials, Methods, Fabrication, and Construction
; Building Tectonics and Structural Design
. - Experience translating history and theory into compelling studio pedagogy.
Responsibilities:
- Teach design studios, lectures, and seminar courses aligned with candidate’s expertise.
- Develop and deliver core design studio courses for
B.Arch, BSA, M.Arch, and M.S.ARC programs. - Collaborate with other programs within TuSABE and the broader School.
- Engage in research, scholarly publishing, and creative practice.
- Participate in service activities, including curriculum development and program committees.
Salary and Rank: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Beginning July 1, 2026.

Location:
New Orleans, LA. Salary range: $88,000–$133,000 (depending on rank).
