Professor of Practice / Lecturer in Accounting (Taxation)

Join our team at Tulane University School of Medicine. The A.B. Freeman School of Business invites applications for a full‑time, non‑tenure track faculty position in Accounting with a primary focus on Taxation. The appointment—at the rank of Professor of Practice or Lecturer—may be for one, two, or three years, beginning July 1, 2026. Salary, teaching load, and benefits are competitive with other major research institutions and subject to final budgetary approval.

• Teach comprehensive undergraduate and graduate courses in taxation, with emphasis on the federal taxation of pass‑through entities, individual taxation, and tax research.
• Design engaging, applied assignments and make complex tax concepts accessible.
• May teach additional courses in financial or managerial accounting based on school needs and candidate expertise.
• Deliver rigorous coursework with experiential‑learning focus and contribute to service within the school and the university.

• Deep practical expertise in taxation, including partnerships, S corporations, individual taxation, and tax research.
• Proven ability to translate complex tax concepts into clear, engaging instruction.
• Strong academic record with a focus on applied pedagogy.
• Experience teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level is preferred.
• Active engagement in the accounting field and a track record of service.
