What You'll Do:- Elevate course quality. Help faculty design and improve courses, apply effective teaching practices, and guide eLearning courses and programs through quality assessment.
- Empower faculty. Develop and deliver practical workshops, tutorials, videos, and one-on-one training in course design and instructional technology.
- Strengthen learning systems. Manage the college's learning management system and academic platforms; evaluate instructional software and coordinate purchasing and licensing.
- Advance accessibility. Manage accessibility tools and help faculty support ADA compliance in online courses and learning platforms.
- Support student success. Partner with Enrollment Services and faculty to use educational support software for advising, retention, and completion.
- Expand learning opportunities. Support correctional education technology and faculty training aligned with state and national standards.
- Connect people and initiatives. Collaborate with campus and external partners, serve as the college's system-office eLearning contact, and implement shared initiatives.
- A bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience using or managing eLearning initiatives.
- Demonstrated skill with learning management or content management systems and other online course-delivery tools.
- Experience in curriculum and course development, plus developing and coordinating training.
- Proficiency with relevant web design, multimedia, graphic design, Microsoft Office, and other course-development software.
- Strong organizational, planning, communication, and technology skills.
- A collaborative approach to working with faculty, students, administrators, and community partners on courses, training, policies, and continuous improvement.
The Educational Technology Specialist helps faculty create engaging, accessible learning experiences that support student success across online, classroom, and correctional education environments. By connecting teaching, technology, and innovation, this role expands learning opportunities and strengthens the college's impact.
