Overview
Sr Chemical Process Engineer role at Solstice Advanced Materials. You will apply chemical process engineering fundamentals and leadership to deliver innovative solutions, shape projects, expand existing processes, and develop next-generation Advanced Materials products from pilot to market. You will report to the Operations Manager and work at our Geismar, Louisiana location on a 9/80 schedule. You will also mentor two other process engineers.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a process safety resource on a team leading Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and Risk Assessments, developing closure plans and strategies for identified risks.
- Oversee production to meet targets and track Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), developing actions to address detractors.
- Lead and participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations to identify and resolve issues.
- Assist in the Management of Change (MOC) process to ensure safe and compliant operations.
- Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and drive unit improvement projects.
- Provide field assistance during plant startups, shutdowns, or upsets; offer off-hours support for abnormal and non-routine operations, including unit turnarounds.
- Organize and design plant testing procedures.
- Influence others and drive toward solutions without direct authority.
- Mentor and supervise two other process engineers, providing technical guidance for their professional growth.
- Participate in Pre-FEED and FEED development for projects, including process scope and design solutions for growth, cost savings, and HSE projects.
- Oversee the development of process models, heat and material balances, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, layout, basic control schemes, and equipment specifications.
You must have
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
- 5+ years of Process Engineering experience in chemical plants.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Strong technical expertise in chemical engineering principles and practices.

- 10+ years of Process Engineering experience in chemical plants.
- Experience with advanced control strategies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering techniques to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated understanding of modeling software.
- Six Sigma certification.

CompensationThe annual base salary range for this position is $118,000 - $148,000. This range serves as a general guideline; offers depend on scope, experience, education, skills, and market factors.
