We are seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to join their team at a flagship Iowa facility—spanning over 500,000 square feet—where you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of a world-class operation.

This position is in northern Iowa and somewhat of a rural area.

The Facilities Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our company’s physical infrastructure. This includes the management and optimization of buildings, equipment, and critical systems. The role requires a balance of technical expertise, project leadership, and a focus on continuous improvement to maintain world-class facilities that support our business goals.

• Develop cost estimates and provide data-driven recommendations for facility upgrades and improvements.
• Lead the planning, design, sourcing, and execution of infrastructure projects, including systems for air, water, building utilities, lighting, and material handling.
• Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives that drive operational efficiency.
• Contribute to long‑term facility planning strategies to ensure scalability and sustainability.
• Champion continuous improvement and kaizen initiatives across facilities operations.
• Support the maintenance team with preventive maintenance (PM) programs, parts ordering, and spare parts inventory management.
• Ensure all projects and operations comply with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to deliver high‑quality results on time and within budget.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet organizational needs.

• Previous experience in a Facilities Engineering role at a manufacturing plant environment.
• Experience running projects including overseeing contractors/subcontractors.
• Proficiency with a 3D CAD software.
• Knowledge of building codes, OSHA regulations, and relevant industry standards.
• Hands‑on experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and construction systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
