We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Maintenance Technician, Mechanical (Process) for Venture Global Plaquemines LNG facility.

General Description

The Maintenance Technician, Mechanical (Process) reports to the Maintenance Mechanical Supervisor (Process) and performs the safe, efficient, and effective execution of all mechanical preventive and corrective maintenance work at Venture Global Plaquemines Liquefied Natural Gas (PLNG) facility, specifically at the Liquefaction, Storage and Loading facilities. The Maintenance Technician, Mechanical (Process) collaborates with other Technicians and Supervisors within the Operations & Maintenance departments.

Responsibilities
  • Executes preventive and corrective maintenance mechanical work according to PLNG HSSE process, procedures, standards, and regulations.
  • Adherence to VGIMS (Venture Global Integrity Management System), PLNG Maintenance Manual and Work Management process and procedures.
  • Identify potential safety, health, environmental work hazards. Understand maintenance work scope and applicable Operation and Maintenance processes and procedures.
  • Performs problem solving activities to ensure maintenance and reliability issues corrective measures are implemented. Functions as Maintenance SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Mechanical systems.
  • Prepare and create required Job Safety Hazard Analysis and Work permits under area of responsibility. Ensure permits are prepared and submitted to Operations well in advance before execution.
  • Works with maintenance and engineering counterparts to ensure the safe completion of scheduled maintenance work.
  • Responsible for daily work progress reports and updates, adhering to maintenance work execution processes and procedures.
  • Manage personal timecard according to PLNG Policies and Procedures (vacation, time-off, sick leave, training, on-call, etc.).
  • Supervises contractor work execution, safe work completion, and performance according to PLNG Contractor Management procedure. Reports contractor work quality/non-compliances to direct Supervisor and Planning/Contract teams.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to others and maintain personal accountability for performance and behavior.
  • Identify and request required special and routine tools/equipment/PPE for safe maintenance activities within area of responsibility.
  • Participate in PLNG Ready for Operations (RFO) maintenance projects to develop required maintenance systems, processes, and procedures before commercial operations.
  • Supports mechanical equipment factory acceptance test (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) as required.
  • Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and operation of the PLNG Facility as part of the integrated commissioning/start-up team with the EPC contractor.
  • Participate in reviews during Engineering and Design Phases, such as HAZOPs, 3D models and P&.
Qualifications
  • Education and Certifications
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; technical degree in Mechanical or applicable nationally recognized standard Certification (e.g., NCCER) preferred.
  • Experience
  • Minimum five (5) years of maintenance mechanical technician experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, or petrochemical facilities.
  • Knowledge of mechanical industrial standards and code regulations (e.g., API, ASME – Process, NBIC pressure devices relief testing).
  • Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical static and rotating equipment.
