The Boeing Metrology And Test Equipment Services (MATES) organization is looking for an Experienced Calibration Technician to join our Metrology team in New Orleans, LA
.
- Plan, check, set up, and operate Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) and/or process equipment
- Conduct routine tests, analyze data and document results
- Troubleshoot and recommend resolution of basic laboratory and test-related problems
- Update equipment status using established systems and complete associated paperwork
- Ensure equipment is ready for calibration per metrology processes
- Prioritize and perform work according to automated daily report list, hot list, or as assigned by lead technician
- Perform visual check of M&TE/process equipment for discrepancies and wear
- Identify, document, and route non-conforming items in accordance with metrology lab processes
- Provide information and clarification to customers on metrology processes
- Work with other employees engaged in the calibration and certification of M&TE, and assist in the development of new calibration processes and procedures
- Perform computations necessary to analyze measurement test results
- Perform logistics associated with routing calibrated assets to remote Boeing labs and suppliers for calibration services
- Perform tasks associated with Test Asset Management and Property Management including asset tagging, redeployment, storage and surplus
- 2+ years of experience calibrating and/or using Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE)
- 2+ years of experience in test assets or metrology
- 2+ years of experience using electronic test equipment
- 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Associate’s degree or higher and/or related military training in electronics and/or Metrology
- Metrology experience in electrical parameters (not to exclude other parameters)
- 5+ years of experience in a calibration laboratory
- An active U.S. Secret or higher Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active
Pay range: $60,350 – $81,650. This position requires a U.S. Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship. It also requires the ability to obtain access to a NASA facility and comply with U.S. export control requirements. The role is not eligible for relocation assistance or visa sponsorship.
