Position Summary:

Develop and oversee the engineering and design efforts for construction drawings/packages for projects.

• Assist in defining project work scopes for engineering requirements, including package deliverable requirements.
• Assist with Process Safety Management/Process Hazard Analysis.
• Concisely describe project requirements through engineering sketches and verbal instructions to design staff; present work in organized form suitable for design.
• Coordinate and organize work with other disciplines; maintain good working relationships between disciplines.
• Check drawing packages for completeness and accuracy.
• Perform calculations required for the discipline; check calculations of other engineers for completeness, code compliance and accuracy.
• Specify equipment and interact with vendors.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Bachelor of Science Degree in a related technical field from an accredited university with at least three (3) years of experience in petrochemical, chemical, offshore, pipeline or utility industries; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties.

• Valid Driver’s License as per State law or requirement.
• Professional Engineer Intern with professional registration preferred.

• Knowledge of discipline design codes and industry regulatory codes.
• AutoCAD knowledge with at least 2 years of experience preferred.
• Process Safety Management/Process Hazard Analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook, spreadsheets, database and word processing.
• Familiarity with discipline‑specific compute applications (e.g., ETAP, STAAD, CEASAR).

• Walk up to one mile on industrial plant and construction sites outdoors at any time of the year.
• Work in protective clothing that may elevate body temperature for periods up to 15 minutes without a break.
• Use multi‑level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted.
• Hear safety alarms and signals while wearing hearing protection.
• Sit at desk and operate computer for extended periods.
• Use hands and fingers to grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear.
• See with visual acuity and distinguish between colors.
• Operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Lift and carry 15 lbs. on a regular basis; sometimes up to 25 lbs.
