The Poker Service Representative is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the poker room, ensuring excellent customer service, compliance with internal controls, and smooth execution of games and promotions.
- Customer Service
- Greet and assist players with professionalism and courtesy.
- Answer questions regarding promotions, rules, and poker room procedures.
- Resolve player concerns promptly and effectively.
- Operational Duties
- Monitor and maintain poker room logs (e.g., card logs, drawer security).
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
- Assist with seating players, managing waitlists, and coordinating table changes.
- Support dealers and supervisors with game flow and player management.
- Promotions & Events
- Assist in executing poker room promotions (e.g., cash drawings, tournaments).
- Document winners and ensure prize distribution follows policy.
- Communicate promotional details clearly to players.
- Compliance & Security
- Ensure drawers remain secured at all times.
- Report and document any violations of internal controls.
- Uphold confidentiality and integrity in all transactions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Knowledge of poker rules and variations (preferred but can be trained).
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Acknowledges, greets and converses in English with customers who are actively playing Poker.
- Maintains a constant survey of tables and fills, as needed.
- Takes set-ups to dealers as they are called for.
- Seats customers on available Poker tables as directed by the Floor Supervisor.
- Arrive early and prepared for each shift.
- Maintain professionalism and honesty at all times.
- Actively contribute ideas to improve poker room operations.
- Serve as a role model for teamwork and customer service.
- Must be able to maneuver in between Poker tables.
- Must be able to reach, pull, bend, crouch and kneel around Poker tables and Poker bank.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Must be able to accurately complete mathematical computations when working with fills and set-ups.
- Must be to read, verify and sign appropriate documents relating to the game in a small area.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
